PPG SST IOGP "Tabb Briggs" Mod-VP

I have a 1987 sleekcraft sst. I would like to know if anyone had old photos from the mod-vp days of the boat running . Maybe some one knew what color the PPG sticker was, as well as "owner:" and "driver:" were . if someone could please get back to me with any info it would be a big help .

Owner was Ted Bravo (Seaford, NY). Driver Tabb Bridges (Gloucester, VA). I re-rigged and crewed for this boat/driver as well as it's twin sister driven by Roger Meekins, in 1987.

Being the man who re-rigged it, would you know what the colors of the names and the ppg were in ? I would really like to restore to orignal state . I just need to finish the dash and the boat should be rigged with in the month or so .

can't remember. Names were in white with accents, if memory serves. I was in college then, surprised I can remember anything.

Tabb's kid...too cool. How old are you? How's your Dad?

Tabb was a super nice guy to hang with and a great racer. Enjoyed spending time with him. I met him in the early 80s and as noted, helped him with the Sleek as well as his HSTs when I worked for Pipkorn. Super guy, a gentleman and a good driver too. Please tell him I said hello.

I just remembered I bought a blown up 2.6XP from your Dad back in 1986, built it for my Dad and installed it on his boat in 89, he used it for a half-decade with no problems. Good memories.

Please tell your Dad that Smokey says hello. I drove MVP in 1984, a Laser LTV owned by Ben Major. We had some spirited races that year, lots of fun. Glad to hear he is doing well.
