The two big lakes are to the east, Truman and Lake of the Ozarks in MO.More than 75 miles, but Lake of the Ozarks is a must.Truman is more for the fisherman, I see a few pleasure boaters there. You'll probably want to plan a whole weekend at LOZ.On the Kansas side there is Perry, Pomona, Wilson, Cheney, Glen Elder, Hillsdale, El Dorado, Tuttle Creek, Milford, Melvern, and more.I'm not as famaliar with the Kansas lakes but I think Perry is the biggest. There is some boating on the MO river at Leavenworth on up, not to much around KC.What kind of boat do you have and how big?

I know this is way outside your 75 mile thing, but this is a great lake to spend a long weekend at.

Over 43,000 acres of clean, deep, and fairly smooth water. (Except on holiday weekends).

Lots of nice restaurants and marina's on the water for whatever you may need.

Lots of weekends there are a number of performance boats around.

If you ever decide to come let me know.

Below is us (in the red/white/black) with a few of the boys.

Stang,

Word of warning with you haveing a q-shot dont even bother draging it to lake of the ozarks! That place is nutz!! You need atleast a 30ft to make it there, and 35 to be comfy! Im talken 5 to 7ft water. I dont know the lakes around KC well, but I do see alot of people from up there make the trip down to play on tablerock. You come look us up sometime AQUA of myself will be happy o show ya a good time!

Jim. Great meeting you last week. Hopefully you had fun at the races getting back to see some of those people. I could tell that your adreneline was running at full speed watching some of the Mod U boats.

Let me know if you need anything. I'll be glad to help. Can't wait to see what Sticker Dude does with your boat. It'll kick all forms of ass when it's done I'm sure.

I left town in '88 but the upper end of Lake of the Ozarks near Warsaw used to be a nice place. Nice ramp and parking. The river backs up all the way to the Truman dam and is very well protected by the bluffs. Kept one in storage there the last year I lived in Overland Park. You can run about 35-40 miles downstream before you get into the "offshore" crazies.
