Well I had a Pro Craft, which is on the same page as Stratos. I thought it was a great boat until it busted a stringer out and sunk in the middle of Lake Kissimmee. It was only 8years old. I would say that you can get an Allison or some high end boat for a good price that is older but it will hold up for as long as you need it. I have an 88 Allison now and had an 85 before. They are both in great shape and look new.

Depends on the year and model. You have to keep in mind that they are bassboats, not race boats. Pre 1996 they were tanks. Built heavy, strong, and for comfort. After 1996, they started making them more for performance. 2004 was when they really went after making them handle and perform much better. My 2006 201 will run right at 80 any day of the week, the 200XL's will run 80 with a 225, the 294's will run in the mid 70's with a 200, and the 285's with a 150 will bump 70....Not shabby for bass barges.

well the only reasonfor thinking about another stratos was like i said i had one before with a yamaha 150 pro that would 68 on a gps pretty much anytime but it also was only a 18ft boat, but i thought that wasnt to bad, because i got a buddy with a astro 17ft boat with a 150 merc that only goes 49gps

28 Raker 2, turning it a tad over 6000rpm....That's one person, normal fishing load....Add a partner and his gear and I'll still run 76 or so...
