I know what ya mean Bill. I been thrashin all week between customer boats and the race boat. I swear I don't think it takes this much time to get the space shuttle ready to lauch. I will look for you. If you don't mind working a trade I need the extras for the High Point Race. It is a local track for me and have several co-workers needing tickets. Any you could spare in return would be greatly appreciated.

In am working for BMW all day. We will be back Sunday to enjoy the racing.

Want to mention yesterday MICHAEL CHAPMAN puked his engine about
his fifth pass. In an effort to run this weekend he was headed home about
90 miles away to build an engine last night. When "mirage243"
Bill Henderson aproache Michael and not offered but "GAVE" Michael
a FRESH 2.5 engine to run! I watch several other racers jump in and
help change the power head. This what our sport is about..:cheers:

Big thanks to Bill Henderson (Mirage243) for loaning me the drop on powerhead. I blew a head gasket in test and tune yesterday and cracked a cylinder. My back up was at the shop and not together. Bill "demanded" I put is spare drop on on my boat. After a morning qualifying round with one other problem we got two passes this afternoon we ran a 9.90 and then a 10.01 to end up 3rd on the ladder. Guys like Bill Henderson and Rick Conklin are what outboard bracket racers are all about. Loaning a competitor a powerhead so they can run. And they know all they have to do is ask me and the favor will be returned. Tomorrow is another day and we'll see what happens but I can't think of a better group of guys I'd rather be competing with. (David Pou, Bill Henderson, Ed Nettles). Good luck to you guys tomorrow and let's give them big blocks some real hell.

Wow, what a weekend. I had such a great time and got to meet a lot of you guys that I've only talked to on here. Dino, your bad ass with the camera, pics were awesome as usual. Michael, great to see you and the gang, I was so happy to see you win, you really deserved it. Thanks for the shoutout at the ceremonies last night. Rick, your the man, couldn't have pulled it off without you. For all you guy's that don't know, we made 17 passes this weekend, that's unheard of in a rope race, and my buddy Rick and my wife Mel made it happen. All you guy's that I got to meet for the first time(Dino, Mitch, Chris, Etc.) you guy's are awesome and I appreciate the support you gave us.

We went 8 passes on Friday in test and tune, Bill was nice enough to prop test for us. We ran 5 different 24 Yami drag props, 1 22 yami drag and 2 of the 24's twice for 8 passes.

Saturday started with Gambler, 1 run, the 3 qualifing passes and a second Gambler run for 5 passes on Saturday.

Sunday was 4 passes for the win.

We learned a lot about our props but most important was that many runs at THAT clock before eliminations, we planned on having 0.100 lights for Sunday and I think Bill was in the .1's all day sunday.

Dean can take pictures with one eye. Look at you with the other, and carry on a converstion with 2 different people without missing a beat. Dean is always a tremendous supporter of us at that race, He brings a cooler the size of a coffin full of water and gatorade and other stuff. He will drop what he is doing and go get anything you need no matter what it is. He's knows a lot of people in that area and can make things happen. He is a great friend to have and should just go on and become a full time race event photographer on the side, he does a fantastic job. I wish we could get him out on the start barge next year to get some shots. Maybe we can get that to happen. (start pullin some strings Dean so you can get out there)

Michael, thank you for your kind words. Augusta looks forward to this event each
year and we appreciate the spectacular racing that you guys provide for our city.
In return, it is the least I can do, as well as my pleasure, to help my racing friends
with whatever they need. Whether it is providing cold drinks, going to get parts to
repair an engine, helping set up or tear down the tents, or picking up trash, you
can always count on me to be there to help. I enjoy taking photographs of all
the Hot Rod Race Boats and will continue to do that as long as I can. The people
I have met thru the years at these racing events will be lifelong friends and I am
grateful that our paths crossed.

I run a BBlades (Brett Anderson) prepped 22 ET with 1.78 XR6 case which works good if the wind isnt to bad...

Our BEST props were both done by Bob Lipton, we ran a few others that ran OK that were done else where but we have 2 that are within .003 of each other!!!!
