I am searching for more information on the temp sensor that lives inside the ECU that measures 'temperature under cowl' as reported by a DDT.
To clarify, the sensor below the starter with two tan wires is the intake air temperature and is reported as 'Coolant temperature' on a mercury DDT. Strange but true. This is not the sensor I am discussing.
On the DDT, the reading that is reported as 'Air temperature' is the two wire sensor that is mounted inside the ECU cover. It measures ambient air temperature. This is the sensor I am interested in.
Mine is bad, and reports 144F regardless of ambient temperature. I am sure there is an easy digikey replacement for this part.
A search only yielded someone searching for a junk ECU to harvest this sensor from. I should call Brucato I suppose.
Info anyone?
