I had my I/O Velocity running today. It's a awesome boat. There this mircro boat thread on another web site that I read for entertainment. I think it would be great to all get together like we do here on scream and fly and have a micro boat fun run. There doing a great job running as fast as 88 mph with big cubic inch small blocks in tiny 18 foot boats on race gas. The ole Tripple Digits would come out of retirement with it's new pump gas 406 small block and run. I would even bring my Velocity out and do some exhibition runs with it. I would sponsor a Micro boat get togther here in NJ supply food and drink and set it all up and have a great weekend of boating. Also my new business RLC Boats is having the Alpha 100 mph club. Im getting all the details worked out along with other sponors and should be done soon. We will do a real radar shoot and see who is realy running as fast as they say. Any Scream and flyers don't know what a micro boat is, it's a 24 foot V bottom or less foot I/O boat.

Sounds very cool. It would be a great event and good for bragging rights!Yes I agree and this way there will be no bs about who runs what mph. I think it would be great to see a bunch of go fast micro boats ripping around. I think we could even get some one to cover it and get some great pictures of it.

I keep it in Snug harbor so I'm usually running around Silver and Barnaget bay. Unfortunatley I haven't been out that much this season but as soon as I rebuild one of the carbs (stuck float) I'll be making some noise. Hopefully this weekend.

Rich,

I don't know why you continue to feed off of the micro boat thread. It is a very interesting thread with normal people and normal boats. No PHD's, No $$$$$ research program, No Prof. built race engines, etc. etc..........

And as for calling out the 18 foot Powerplay........ 88 MPH is pretty damn good for the first time out. Now consider that the kid built the motor himself and has no clue of the HP, it makes it even sweeter!! Here is a cut and paste from the first time out with your Steve Schmidt 434...." being the first time back in the water with the new power plant. Best mph was 80.1" Now, to me it sounds like he is doing better than you did........Now factor in that is with a standard Alpha SS drive and not a RLCPE Alpha R HD Shorty.......even more impressive!!!!

You could have played this game alot different when you had the chance, but you chose to do things your way. Good Luck getting the group together. I will check out the pics. and vids. when you do. I will stay here in Georgia and sit this one out!!!!

For reference to the quote see Test 11 in the project Tripple Diggits section @ .....http://rlcpe.com/

For reference to the quote see Test 11 in the project Tripple Diggits section @ .....http://rlcpe.com/ It's been over 4 years now that I started project tripple digits for everybody to read. I'm glad that I helped so many people out with there with there projects and gave them some insite as to whats going on with there boats. I showed them things were possible and gave them a place to start. Thank you for all those suporting postive e-mails from around the world. Yes there is a few bad eggs but you will get that with anything you do. You can't make everybody happy. I also showed and proved that the Alpha correclty set up will handle huged HP and stay together. Yes your correct, I did go 80.1 mph first time out with the new motor with a 22 pitch prop and a stock full length Alpha on the gunnel trying to stuff the bow with a motor running on pump gas. Since then I have been 98 mph on raw motor with the Sting Ray with my shorten Alpha R One Hd.

Im confused as to you saying I'm calling out a 18 foot boat that is 900 to 1000 + pounds lighter then the Sting Ray and has a 427 cubic small block full blown race motor with big compression on race gas. If your talking about the boat in speedwake on the micro boat thread I praised him and said that he is doing a great job for going as fast as he is because I know what it takes to make a small boat like that to go fast. Now if you want to get silly and compare apples to apples let me go get a 18 or a 20 Stingray swap my set up over to it and run huged compression on race gas I could only imagine 110 maybe.

As far as Im concerned and many others feel the same the micro boat thread people have feed off my project tripple digits and help them grow and become faster and show them it is possible. This is what I intended the project page for is to help others. Good luck In Ga

Same here, see you out on the water. Thanks for the compliments on the boat, the scoop might make it look fast but it just has a 15 year old BB chevy in it. :D

I'm going down to Lake Sinclair for the weekend if you are interested in making a day trip to see a different lake. Oconee is minutes away from Sinclair too. Shoot me a PM if you are interested or I may head up to Allatoona next weekend.

Never heard of noise restrictions on Oconee and I have been going there for years. There are plenty of loud boats on the lake, so you would blend in haha. I usually go to Lanier but beware on how ruff it will get.

I keep telling you its all in the delivery:D A line typed in a forum will be read the way a person wants to read it and can often be misconstrewed. Hell I would still go eat at Cookins resturant even thought he constantly takes digs at you and your business. I say road trip for a good meal.

Maybe if there would have been a compliment in the post it would not have been misread!!!! Or is it the "as fast as" part??

Or maybe it was the fact that he reads the thread for entertainment........... Or was it the part about doing a real radar run to see if everyone is really running as fast as they say they are.......... According to fact some boats have only run 87.1........:p

It doesn't matter to me either way, but I have become friends with a lot of the guys on that thread, and Rich discrediting them directly or indirectly kinda aggitates me!!! Like I said.........sorry I took it the wrong way!!!!
