I cant believe my problems with my 2 boats with 3.o's one mota after 50 hrs use on a 31 boat that has twins all of a sudden just shuts off then comes back on after 10 seconds while the other runs fine. no alarmsgo off,the fuel lines dont collapse,all battery and termials harenesses are tight as all wiring in mota are also. i took off the fuel pump,efi and saw a little crap in screen cleaned it ,put back and same thing,it has power like other one,wtf!!! my other boat a single 250 efi starts up and after 5 seconds just runs like crap and does not come back unless u startt again the fuel in both motas is clean,no water,we put a new square pump on it and the ecu check shows nothing. Dam,my 30 velocity with 3 200 mercs carbed ones never had anything like this,WTF thanks tripps:eek::eek::eek:

I cant believe nobody awnsered!!! the problem was a bad battery switch:eek: but the other one,runs really bad:( tripps

If the other one runs really bad, check the volts on the TPI it should be between .95-1.05 @ idle... if the is off motor runs like garbage

ck the engine harness plug where the boat plugs into the engine, also, on the motor that runs and then shuts off, when was the last tim e you rebuilt the lift pump(the one w/ the diaphragms and ck valves in it), ethanol tears them up, you should be rebuilding them every 2-3 years(parts cost like 10$), a good way to see if it is your problem is to squeeze the primer bulb while running, if the problem goes away then it is the fuel pump
