Wot stumble 200 mariner (carb)

2.4 MARINER 200 (CARB). AT SPEED TACH STARTS TO JUMP AROUND AND I FEEL A SLIGHT PORWER DROP. BACK OFF THROTTLE PROBLEM GOES AWAY?

ANY IDEAS?:confused:

I had a similar problem at tha first race this yeer...Stomp it and mota miss'd and juss wouldn't do rite...I run my time'in manually, so when I threw tha time'in in it, and stomp it, it would loose a cyl or 2(to start) and act crazy...I figger'd it wuz a trigger problem, bein tha trigger wuz the part move'in when I pull'd time'in in it...I had a new trigger, and stator, so while tha flywheel wuz off, I changed them both...I only had one new pack, so I changed tha inside pack(tha hard to git to one iz always tha culprit)...I went out to race, and barely got back to tha trailer....When I got home(and got over tha red azz) I check'd it out...Had lightn'in fire on all 6...Went to river, dun tha same thang it did at tha races...Went back to shop and changed tha outside pack(only thang not changed at tha races...Back to river...Ole 2.4 turn'd 9500!!!.....It wuz a pack tha hole time....

May not be yo problem, but mercury electronikz will keep ya quess'in:D

I changed out a pack a few seasons ago. Maybe its time to do the other one? Would a bad pack effect the tach like it does(jumps around)?

It is common place to just change them both ,Ive found if one goes the other isnt far behind .
