merc lower on omc v8?

I've heard people talking about someone putting a merc lower on a rude v8.
Is this possible and how do you do it?

please use the search function, this has been gone over quite a lot lately.

We don't usually mind reposting info but when it is obvious you won't take 10 seconds to search, then why should we take 10 minutes to answer.
