Now, this is the first step of my restoration... where the heck does all this upholstery fit inside the boat? I have many different pieces and they were still out of order when I brought the boat..
Any guidance on where inside all this goes is greatly appreciated.

I am using the same upholstery but fixing the wood that keeps it's shape. What I need to know, is where all these pieces fit so I can note where they go inside the boat, and cut new wood pieces out and i also need ti buy new foam.

In the dumpster or at an upholstery shop!!What rchevelle71 said. Drop the boat off at your favorite local marine upholstery shop & have them use the old pieces as templates for the new upholstery pieces & then have them bolt them in place. The new wood backing(or better yet, PVC board) needs to have stainless studs installed into each piece, to allow reaching to the back side & threading on nuts, lock-washers & flat washers. Should'nt cost a fortune.

I had a Bonzai....(same boat)............ I made my own seats and combing. It can be done with thin starboard, foam and materials from a fabric shop. The starboard or marine plywood will have to be found at a lumber store.
Nothing matches getting it done professionally, but if your'e on a budget and have some patience... ( and maybe a woman who knows how to sew).......

So the Bonzai is the kind of boat I have? Yes, I have a budget and we are re-doing out kitchen, that's our #1 priority. I think my dad and I are going to work in the upholstery and my mom, is good at sewing so she can assist if needed.
