Hi,
One week ago I trimmed engine up and some oil came out the lower unit. Just at the front of the lower at the top. There is a small hole in the shape of a rectangular. It was wet there but dont know if the oil came out of that hole.
Anyway I took of the lower unit and all seemed good. I had a crack in skeg so took everything out of the case to let it weld. Impeller was a bit oily so thought driveshaft seal was bad. So I replaced them.
Now today i trimmed engine a bit up and there came a bit water out of that rectangular hole but no oil. 6hours later there was a bit of oil under lower unit. Same symptoms as last week.
I wonder what this can be? Just replaced the driveshaft seal. It also smells a bit like gas. It's green (like the quicksilver two stroke oil) The gear lube I have is blue. So I think it's gas and the gas dissolved so only the oil remains. Is this possible? I have no clue anymore because I replaced the driveshaft seals.
