Water Pressue Gauge J150GLECD

I have a 1998 model Johnson 150 [J150GLECD] Faststrike.

Have bougth a Water Presure Gauge. The question is where to install this on the engine side.

1. Some has suggested to "tee in" to the tell tale hose.

2. Some has suggested hook it installing a nipple where the brass plug is located in the cylinder head.

Some suggestions what to do ?

The tell tale hose you cannot do cause their isn't one on your motor... the second way you mentioned is the way to go. The brass plug should be on #4 cylinder (on the head). Just like you said take the plug out install a barbed fitting and attach the pressure hose, then sit down and drink a cold one:cheers:
