Depends on what year your 225 is as to what you will have to do to it.Purdy much the 300PM ignition & fuel ECU,heads, tuner and intake. You may also want to through in a simon lightened flywheel and popet valve kit while youre at it:D

Mine was a 2000 so it had the 4 butterfly intake which is important. The older 2 butterfly's really restricted the intake. I bought stock 300PM heads. You can also get yours cut by Simon or Smith. I purchased a new 300X tuner which is a direct bolt on. You can also cut 5" off the stock tuner which relieves the exhast but the X tuner is much better. Sounds increadible too! Next came single stage carbon fiber reeds and an SVS. Finally I had the ECM and ECU remapped raising the limiter to 6500 and remapping the fuel curve leaning it out from 5000-6000 rpms where the stock ECM's are extremely rich. 5800 is like hitting a wall on the stock 225EFI's. I have had friends who have tried using 250XB ECU's and even 300PM ECU's. Neither worked as well as my reprogrammed boxes. Talk to Simon and Brucatto about a remap.

I had this motor on a 2000 Triton TR21 bassboat. I picked up 13mph on top and a huge increase in accelation. Best of all was the gas milage and oil usage improvement which doubled!
