2.4 to 2.5 heads

i have a 2.4 merrcury 200 can i put 2.5 heads on it?

You can but you have to cut around .050 off the side. They are a little wider than the 2.4. and will have a little higher CC chamber. Your better bet is to put uncut 2.0L heads. That will raise the compression where the 2.5 will lower it.

2.5's have line up dowls pins holes 2.4's don't .. Another difference. (a quick way to visually see the difference )
