got a 1990 gt150 johnson what is the timing set at?

If you have a STL in your model number is it s 28 +or - 1 degree, which is proabaly what you have.

if not an STL, then 32 + or - 1 degree.

That is wide open timing. Idle is 7 degrees + or - 1.

Its a j150st is that the stl I dont know anything about johnsons?

You should have an STLESB in your model number according to the BRP website, so the 28 degree number would be right for you. Better on the low side them to high.
