Don't go to lake George with open pipes. They will actually test you at the ramp when you are launching(they actually wait at the ramps on big weekends). They are pricks when it comes to noise.

I agree, LG isn't the place for loud boats. If they don't test you at the ramp, they will pull you over on the lake and test you.

Also, expensive...no free ramps on the south end of the lake this time of year, so ramping will run you about $35, plus you'll have to buy a weekend LG use sticker, and the motels aren't cheap either.

Try looking at Sacandaga, the Rondack Romp has been held there for 8 years, this weekend is another gathering, several free state ramps, more restaurants / bars / hang out areas. The lake is about 26 miles long.

I don't know the lake well enough to know if there are motels on the water, but I'd bet there are. Google it and you'll find the chamber of business website with more info.

Owasco lake is nice and the cops don't really bother you unless you do something really stupid. Got a few nice hotels here to choose from. There's some slips you can rent near the state launch but I'm sure there all spoken for. Good luck!

:thumbsup:Thousand Islands is a great place to boat, period. Very scenic and lots to see, fishing is outstanding also. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Been there for the poker runs a few of times. You can't go wrong.

If you go to Sacandaga the only hotle there is the The flip flop. But you will have to leave the boat @ sport island. The flop is right there, Great lake.

Don't go to keuka the cops are awful and would harass you all weekend, there would definatly be tickets for noise. Seneca is a nice option too big lake no speed limit, there are hotels at the lake...my 2 cents

Dont go to Keuka with that boat ! 45mph speed limit and you'll get tickets for the exhaust (hell I used to get tickets with my Vking for it being to loud .. and it was an outboard) Go to the thousand islands I have a place there and wont boat anywhere else! go as fast as you want as loud as you want and as far as you can go on a tank of gas!
