Jungle Den- " BLINGMASTER "

I was trying to put some dates in my calender for the summer and was wondering about a Jungle Den Run, any plans ? Always like that run, maybe another " blingmaster " tour ...

A better location might be the Moorings just North of Palatka , big ramp , restaurant bar , no stupid manatee zones .the owner is cool and had no problem with big partying going on . Rooms are nice and affordable .
Don't get me wrong , I like the Den , but the area round there is kind of Gestapo . Anyway just a consideration :thumbsup:

Talked to them and their standard rate is much cheaper than the den, talked to the manager and he offered a group rate of $60 and $65 for rooms.. I was thinking about July 24th fri - 26th, budget should be recovered from the 4th..

just to let everyone know, the moorings is a great place, but the restaurant has changed since ricks river run. its now an italian restaurant,with sea food also. the peaple there are great also. would still be a great place to hold an event.

Tom's Correct ! We had a Big Time up there at Rick's Memorial . The facilitys are nice , Bar And Resturant on the primisis ,along with docks and ramp . We parted indoors til the we hours of the morning in the lobby of the place . Pulled all the couchs to gaither and drug all the coolers out and just enjoied the time togaither .

When we had Rick's River Run we talked to the owner and he said about the same and what is stated on here. Now there are 24 rooms in the main portion of the hotel with a HUGE lobby between the rooms. If all of the 24 rooms were rented he said we would have no problem with noise (not that he did when we were there last). There are an additional 24-28 rooms in the next building in the same parking lot. As far as for the resturant I will have to see if it is still there. I believe Corky Bells moved to where Gators use to be. So don't know if anyone has taken over the resturant yet.

I think the date is really whats the decision at this point, I had mentioned the July 24 - 26 date is that good ? not sure about the race schedules and such and it's in the middle of the afternoon monsoon season but what ya do it's Fl in the summer !

hey, omega. the resturant has been taken over, it is an italian resturant now, but thay have seafood, burgers,and chicken wings also and the bar is still open. i make a point to stop in about three times a week. the peaple are great there.

Rich as Tom F. posted it was the second weekend of Aug. Just for starters I will go to Crystal Cove this Friday and check on the availability of rooms. Just check and see how booked they are if they are.They have had boat races there before and don't know if they will be busy. I will post the dates when they have the most available rooms. That might help get a date going if people agree to go there. If there is enough interest and a large enough group I can also see about getting a band for sat. night providing they aren't playing elsewhere.No promisis i can check.
Also like Tom said, no speed limits, resturants on the water like Gators on the river, 3 Bananas on Cresent Lake which is thru Dunn' Creek (nice ride) , resturant at the hotel. Porkies at t north end of Lake George. OutbackCrab Shack north of Palatka. Welaka has a resturant that is accessable by water also, 13 miles from Palatka. The sand bar as you know is where everyone usually hangs out. Everything south of Palatka is within reach of our fuel range.

HUM , Tough Choose . Banbridge is a blast , but this is in my back yard also . If they where to fall on the same weekend It would be a tough call . I guess it would come down to finances at that point . Besides , I got to get a boat back to gaither ,and going to a race with no seat time may not be the best thing to do at this point ..Pick a date .and lets see how it works out .

Ok I spoke with Crystal Cove and asked about the availibility of rooms in the main building. From the second weekend in July to the end of Aug. They are pretty much open. You can reserve the building which has 26 rooms under one name. They said within two weeks you could let them know on the count of the rooms and if you didn't use all 26 rooms the person or persons that were holding the rooms would not be charged.
I will try and get a pict from google earth and post the different areas and runs that you can go on if this helps others who have never been to this part of the river. Wether here or another place lets try and get a date and work around Bainbridge.

It's n ot my call ,but the end of Aug. looks open . Aug.29&30 there are two races being run in Ky, but there KDBA & ECDBA . I don't think any of our local driver run these as a regular part of there schedules .
What do ya'll think about that ? This will let those of use who do race ,attend there events they heave already scheduled .
