Boat Fire Near Fire Island

Was launching out of Captree on Sat when about 4 police/bay constable came screaming by the ramp, heading in the direction of Fire Island and a Police Helicopter zipped by as well, was wondering what happened then saw this today...

Looks like an engine fire, fuel leak or BBQ mishap..... at least the victim will be ok.

I don't know about Saturday but, Sun around 4:30 I saw black smoke a little east of RMC bridge. Didn't look good .:eek:
The guy is lucky to be alive.
