Guys I need a good reputable shop in the Fayetteville, NC area. My ETEC seems to have fouled plugs or something? It is one year old so I am hoping it is not to bad. Anyways I am looking for a shop that works on Evinrudes... Thanks.

If you were a Merc Man, I would set you up with Tommy Dunn in New Bern, but I don't know if he would even look at an Etech.

One year old? Shouldn't that be covered under warranty?

Yes it will be warranty work ( i hope). I was on the fence between a merc or a etec when i baught the boat.... i am hoping this is nothing much and not a re occuring thing:(
Found a evinrude dealer in Smithfield who said they can look at it for me. Might take him a week or so to get to it though. I believe the name of the dealer is COLLINS INC. Anyone ever deal with them?

Chatlee will work on it if you want them to, also there is a guy out across from carolina lake on 87 that worked on my 2001 fitch and was working last year to get his Etec certification. If you are interested in eather of them let me know and I can give you better directions.

Have you had the EMM updated? I believe the 175 had a map update 6 months ago or so...

AWESOMEBULLET, I actually have never taken it to the shop since may last year when I baught it... never had any reason to. I hate to even think that I may have caused this by not getting a update??
E-SOLDIER, i will pm you if the BRP tech in smithfield doesnt get me fixed up. I appreciate the help.
Found a guy that has the same motor and the same problem.... his mech said he had a #2 injector go bad. I am hoping that whaever mine has it isn't too bad.
