I've decided to go ahead and get a photo editing program, and am curious if anyone on here has had a chance to spend some time with it. Other suggestions?
thanks

I've got CS4, the whole package. I prefer IRfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) for almost everything I do with pictures. Free too.

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try tonight.

I have CS4. Its the first real editing program I started using. Its pretty wild how well you can manipulate photos. My wife and her friends love it for "enhancing" certain features in their photos:) I always get to clean up their annual trip pictures. Personally, I like Adobe Lightroom 2.3 better. Its quicker for me to touch up pictures with.

You can download CS4 and Lightroom for 30 days free and see which one you like better.

I use Photoshop for everything you see on this site - from the website graphics to my photos. I usually do not upgrade every version - I'm using CS3 now, and I may go to CS5 if it's compelling enough. But yes, I use Photoshop for everything - been using it for more than 10 years exclusively.

I just got a copy of CS4 from work. ;) I guess I’ll see how much hair I have left after trying to familiarize myself with it. Did I mention I really dislike pp?
