Awesome classic video and accomplishment... I had the opportunity to meet and and have a short chat with Mr. Ken Warby a couple years ago before a rally day on the lake... Super nice Guy, and although He is shizznit I'll asure You That Mr. Warby is just another boat nut that enjoys anything that burns fuel and slides across the water... Definitely a memorable day for Me meeting one of My Heroes since I was a Child and putting wind up toy outboard boats in the bathtub... Thanks for the link

What Mr. Warby did was ahead of his time. He is a real legend. Sure hope someone tries it again soon. What would be really cool is to have Mr. Warby be an advisor for the attempt. Nice holiday and God bless our troops. Smitty

He drew the blueprints in His kitchen, and built it in His backyard... Mr. Warby is a true legend and original... He is a premier example of hands on ability and ingenuity of a hotrodder...

Ken is enjoying boating in a new way lately making rallys and vintage race boat shows and is just having a ball.

This is Ken and Barbara in one of his Austrailian rockets.

Chaparell is powered by a 570 inch supercharged Chevy.

Ken & I in Tiger ( another 570 Chevy ) at the rally Kevin mentioned.

He turned the big 70 last week and still knows where the gas pedal belongs. Do not pass up a chance to boat with "the Man". He is just amazing.

I can still remember that engine being tuned at the Local RAAF base, it had the ability to run an afterburner but it was decided it wasn't needed to break the record,
I remember being at the Dam as well on the day. I think there are several teams aiming to break teh record one was warby, he had a boat ready iirc but it was deemed too unsafe by todays standards...though it was tested somewhere on a river in aus.
