Mississippi River Boating - Hastings, MN

Myself and several others will be doing some Mississippi River speedboating on Tuesday, May 26. Be leaving from Hastings public landing around 10 Am or so. Depending on wind we will likely run the lower St Croix til about noon and then head into the Mississippi for the PM. Hopefully it will be fast water and nice weather. We like to go the day after Memorial Day because the boat cops are back in harbor and the crusiers are mostly out of gas by then. The river is quite low again and all the debris from several weeks ago is gone. Come join if interested.......

Waters good, come on out, after lunch is fine too Probably be down by the Tanglewood hobo campsite later in the PM. It is all burned down now. There is no cove anymore, so the campsite seems to be the best hangout spot. Gofast (Red GSE) and Gary with the brown V-King I think will also be coming.

Damn, notice too short. Left work early with stuff set up for Tues. Would have stayed and finished today if I had known. Will make a run from Hudson to cassino Sun. a.m. if water is ok. Then back to Hudson no-wake for the rest of the day enjoying "refreshments". Have fun!

Last Tuesday was a washout so Tuesday, 6/2/09 is the new day. 3 Allisons so far leaving from Hastings, 9:30 - 10 AM or so. Forcast is 74 F and low wind. Join if interested.
