The only no altering jack plate that we have found, that will allow you to get the motor up to 1.5 inches above the pad is the Bob's 4" set back hydraulic jack plate, we have found that the 4" works best on the Venom with a 20" mid, we hit 91 MPH with a stock 175 pro X S, with the only mod being a low water pick-up. We have one running that set up with a 300 X S and has had 0 Problems with it, he loves it, I run one on mine with a 20" 2.5 280. love it :thumbsup: here is Greg with the 300 X S on the Bob's hydraulic 4"

Phillip, I sure wish Bob's would give us some SOLID info. They said the only Jackplate that would work for this application is their 2 1/2" manual last week over the phone. So far I've bought a CMC 6" manual & a Hydro Dynamics 6" manual (both said they would work). Neither of these worked & have been a huge waste of time & money (not enough lift). Bob's also told me at one point the manual & hydraulic (with the same setback) have the same lift. Scott :(:(
