i have had this boat for three years. the title says it is an '84 tahiti. i have looked all over the net trying to find any info or even just another photo of one like this. i know tahiti's were popular for smaller jets and mini day cruisers but i have never seen one this size. its 30' and has twin 350s with volvo 280 outdrives. does any one know if indeed his is a tahiti of know of any history or where i can get any info on it?

...it is not uncommon for boat builders, both small & large, to lease, sell, or borrow molds/tooling of another boat builder & rename it their own. all that is required, is to simply advertise it as such, and apply their company's hull number to them. its that easy in boat manufacturing to do. this can be done both short term or long term. all you can do is go by the hull number on the transom. the first three "letters" of the hull number indicate/identify the manufacturer/boatbuilder that "sold" it. this also means its possible that the manufacturer that layed it up, fiberglass-wise, sold them to another boat builder to market as their own for a period of time, with their own hull numbers afixed. hope this helps...
