I thought I would post this up so people can plan for the fall . RR - 8 will be held at River Ranch in Lake Wales , FL starting Thursday November 5 , 2009 till Sunday November 8 , 2009 . it is advised to get reservations early as these weekends fill up quick .

Std Inn room - 99.00 per night
Courtyard Rooms - 119.00 per night
Efficiencies - 99.00 per night

This is a nice weekend at a nice place with Launch Ramp, food ,fuel , beverages, etc on premises as well as a Restaurant and Marina with dockage .
This is a very well managed resort that welcomes us there , please take care to pick up after yourselves and please do not abuse or destroy any property so we can continue to come here . The Management has tolerated a lot in the past and wants us all to have a good time .

Next time count how many batteries he's got in the boat , then multiply times 12 . Last time I looked there where like 5 batteries in that thing . That's something like 60 volt trim . I spoke with Paul Wellington this morning and for those of you who don't know...or remember...he's the property manager for the Shady Oaks property that we had been allowed to use in the past. Good News to report! Looks like they will be able to let us use the property again for future events! We'll have to get the insurance as well as the port-o-lets but this gives us our own private entrance onto Lake Kissimmee.

I think the key, if you have two people, is to launch at the hwy 60 ramp, run the boat and drive the rig around to the Oaks.

That depends...Most times we run about 20+ miles north to te river between lake hatchnehaw and lake kissimmee. Now, you can run all the way to the north end of lake toho...about 45-50 miles. Good news is there is gas on several locations on the chain. Most places have fresh 93-oct. due to airboat tours out of the fish camps! Of corse the rides depend on the wind. If the north winds come up...Lake Kissimmee gets ROUGH! Hope that kind of answered your question. Mike T.:cheers:

Hey Drew , I know where there's a Nice Sail Boat For Cheap . All New Canvas ,and it's Easy to find . There's still 20' of mast sticking up out of the water . All it needs is better Bilge Pumps .

Well , Fortunatly for ya'll , the Buell is the only two wheeler in working order these days ,and it's anything but fast . I wouldn't even try and line that up with a good running street car . And Mickey , No the truck is not fast either . It's just transportation , for me and the boat . It does get good mileage though ,so if you want to though say 5 gals in both out trucks and see who gets furthist . Looser Walks Back !
