Well I have my pump and I'm having a custom aluminum boat built, but I'm unclear on how the engine attaches to the pump. I can see that there must be a drive shaft of some sort, but I'm not sure where to get it what else I'm gonna need to hook this thing to a 400 small block.

So I guess what I need to know where can I find these componants( jack shaft, engine mounts etc) and does anyone have any detailed pics of there motors attached to there pumps so I can get an idea of how this all goes together.
I am a competely newbor as far as jet boats are concerned and can use all the info and pics I can get my hands on.

Thanks in advance

Mike

you will need a pto flange and short drive shaft , these are off the shelf items that many vendors carry, one that comes to mind is rex marine, www.rexmar (http://www.rexmar) and they will have an assortment of motor mts also. these can be viewed on their web site, also in some of their boat show pictures you can probably view display or mounted engines. another source is eddie marine.

well I found pics on jetboatperformance and I see how they mount. Does anyone have idea how much they cost?

Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a trashed jetboat and salvage all the mounts etc... just make sure it's the same engine you are planning to use as it's all different

This is the Pump

After closer inspection, It is a 12Jc Pump.

I figured for $250 I couldn't go wrong..........hopefully it will work!!

If anyone has small block Chevy mounts I'd love to hear from you

as per pictures from speedboat should be a piece of cake for your builder to fab up a set of aluminum mounts, if i recall the pto flange from several suppliers is in the 50-60 range and the short drive shaft is around 160.00 in a 1310 series, they make a 1350 but the 1310 is the most common half the price and plenty strong for anything south of a 1000 hp.
