Mercruiser DDT Cartridge for MEFI 4 Engine?

I trying to find out what Mercruiser Version will work for a MEFI 4 engine. Can anyone let me know for sure? I have an Indmar LS1 engine in my Malibu Response that I would like to be able to scan and I was told by Indmar that Mercruiser used the MEFI ECMs in some of their engines. I have a cable coming and I am looking to buy the right cartridge and manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the SmartCraft 1.2 or 1.3 version. Either one should work...George

I have a Smartcraft 1.2 that I use for my 300X. I thought those only worked with Motorola 555 computors. I should have my cable next week, so I will certainly give it a try. Anyone tried this combination? Let me know.

I got the cable today and tried it with my Smartcraft 1.2 cartridge but it would not read the ECM. I checked the 1.2 manual and it doesn't list anything for Mercruiser except 8.1L Smartcraft engines. Do you have any other suggestions? Let me know.

I have had a couple people tell me that they thought the Mercruiser 2.0 Version would do the job. Can anyone confirm that for sure? Let me know.

Looked into it. Sorry for the bad info. 2.0 should do it.

We have 1 Mercruiser 2.0 software package left, and they are no longer available through Mercury. We also have the new harness that has to go with it. $490 shipped.

I only need the cartridge and manual. I can buy the Mercruiser/Tech Mate tool with the proper harness for $399. that will do my engine plus a lot of others but I don't want to invest that much money for something I hope I don't have to use. Thanks for the response though, Gary.
