help with eng ID

hello
i have a mariner v-6 200 hp - i think at least that's what the cowl say
but not to sure

the lower end has a number on the transom plate - A114065
and 1590-8334 on the leg

and the block has a casting number on the right side next to the bttm of the head - 858-8631

i blew a connecting rod and need to repair - any help would be appreciated in identifying this motor

sorry no way to put a pic up -- the block tha a few different numbers cast into it maybe that will help
041 888 1 - this number is behind spark advance lever
R937 - this is on top of exhaust manifold
858-8631 - starboard side of block near head
200 - was stamped into one of the heads at what looks like a freeze plug
just trying to Id this so i can buy some parts

Based on the serial number you posted was on the motor leg, it is a 200 HP Mariner, or mercury made between 1978 and 1988. Based on the numbers it would be towards the later 80s. You should be able to take that serial number into your local mercury dealer and get any parts you need. (S#A114065)
