And if i replaced the box that the coils that seam a little weak, but still firing are wired to, could the other box be bad, or could they both be bad? The one side has a good 1/2 spark screwdriver to plug, and the other side had like a 1/4 and sometimes seams to drop out

Switchbox diagnostics are done with a DVA meter. They interact with each other through the bias circuit. An aparently good switchbox can take the other one down that way.
You can isolate the trouble by temporarily removing the jumper between the switchboxes. That's the bias circuit. Spark timing could then be a little erratic between the sides, but should be strong on all 6.
If a bank is strong without the jumper, and weak with it, it's probably the other switchbox. If it's weak all the time, it's the connected switchbox, or the stator. That's where DVA measurements come in.
BTW, switchboxes are normally replaced in pairs.
Clear as mud?

Check your other thread. I posted the manual for trouble shooting the system and the attachment to make a DVA. I just posted basicly posted the same on the other one.

So did he get it fixed? mine was running great for a wile (thanks to you guys) but recently lost power , she'll get on plane if you give it throttle slowly (usually ) but sometimes it wont and just bogs at 2000 rpm. It sounds like it's missing at idle, I put new plugs in it , and used the screw driver spark test method. Strong spark on the port side ( blue and jumps about an inch) on the stbd side the spark is whiter and only jumps about a half to 1/4 of an inch and seems to cut out a bit. This is my 3rd switch box (if thats it) in about 5 months. Is my stator going bad and taking out the boxes? (it checks good) ??? I've got some cash comming in soon and may just look for another motor. The boats rated for a 175 hp any suggestions?
