3 ram vs single ram

Is one better than the other? i am going to be putting on a stv and will not be using a lot of trim eitherway,3 ram is nice not to mount the trim pump inside the boat. thanks

The single ram is BY FAR BETTER. It trims with the same force regardless of the position. It is also one hell of a lot easier and cheaper to repair. The 3 ram system has a lot of problems with leaking check valves and a multitude of other gremlins. Save youself a ton of headaches and use the inside pump style for High Perf use. Mercury does so that should answer your question.
