Lower unit question

Dumb question...Is there a difference, besides driveshaft, between a standard v-6 lower and an alpha one lower?

If you're inquiring about an Alpha one stern drive , yes there are several internal differences. Gear ratio being the major one as well as some bearings and a few other things. I am assuming you are inquiring as to can you adapt the standard V-6 unit to an Alpha One Stern Drive?? It can be done but I don't recommend it.
