2.5 promax Guru's Have some ?"s

I am returning my 225 promax back to stock and have a few exhaust relief ?'s I have filled the holes in the bottom of the driveshaft housing and istalled the exhaust can. Now just below the skirt on the DS housing are the 2 small rectangular deals. Are they suppose to be drilled out in stock form or are they closed? They look like they have been drilled out but just want to be certain before I fill them in. Thanks guys!!GB

I have an '04 225X I can send you a picture of - the hole is closed on one side on mine.

There just over flow drains for the water that fills up around the can. You can leave them

If you drill additional holes there are you providing more exhaust relief and thus changing the engine's mixture, leaning it out at idle?
