Ficht overcharging

IM WORKING ON A 150 FFI 1997,START MOTOR,VOLTS JUMP TO 15 TO 17 THEN BUZZER COMES ON CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.JUST REPLACED REGULATOR NO CHANGE ALSO INSTALLED NEW BATTERY.HELP....:confused:

A loose battery connection can do that....

also use a voltmeter to verify your gauge accuracy

Checked battery cables,does the system check lights get signal from ecu even if volt gauge is wrong?
