I have a 2005 Mercury 200. Just took it out of winter storage up here in WA state and am having fuel problems. I pulled the carbs out and they all had a white milky mixture in the bowls, assuming it's oil/water mix. Completely cleaned carbs out, reconnected to a portable fuel tank (thought it may have been water in fuel) changed the fuel filter and fired it up. Started immediately and ran great for a minute then had a fuel starvation problem and died. Pulled the air box off the front and tried pumping the bulb....got realllly hard but didn't see any fuel flowing out of the bowls into the throats....pushed harder and finally got some of that milky/fuel/ mix to come out of the jets and into the carbs and it fired again. However, as you might imagine, it died quickly after. Question is, where is this oily/milky mix coming from and how do I stop it from clogging up my jets/carbs????? Driving me crazy! Thanks in advance

You have water in the fuel. Did you completely drain the carbs? Flush the pump and hoses, fuel lines? Check the portable tank for water?
Sometimes in real humid conditions you will get a little milky colored fuel in the throat, that is from condensation, but not what you have there.
