I was searching for some 1 part urethane for the top side of my boat, and came across some stuff that claims it can be applied with airless spray. Are they talking about the spray guns used for house painting? Like the Wagners at Home Depot?

Would it be better to just apply with a roller or brush? Any input is appreciated.

No airless sprayers are for large jobs. Its a rig that pumps paint and uses pressure to spray it out of a orifice to acheive a fan pattern. Follow this link for an example.....

Thanks for the reply. I actually have a similar machine, but didn't want to use because of the the capacity and stuff. It claims to spray .60 of a gallon per minute, which would go through the paint extra fast.

I guess I will just roll the paint instead. Any recommendations on paint to use for good results? Should I even do 2 part, or just go with 1 part as I'm going to roll it?

use the spayer you got and put in a smaller tip and turn the pressure down. it will work fine:thumbsup:
