OMC - Quickstart

The last engine I put together decided since it was for non-race use to connect Quickstart and SLOW.

When cold the idle is erratic as is the timing before Quickstart disengaged - so I thought.

Didn't like this so disconnected the white/black from P.Pack to temp sensor and grounded the P.Pack white/black.

Interestingly - no change.

It seems quickstart is still functional for approx 1 min unless quite warm.

I don't like the initial high idle, particularly when skiing etc - does this mean i have to disconnect SLOW as well.

No, disconnect the orange and orange/black wire from the quick start charge coil. This also eliminates the rev limiter. What you did should only hol quick start for a brief second or two.
