What year is my 150 HP Mercury?

I have a 150 HP Mercury inline 6. It has a distributor with black hood and blue stripe. I was told it was the last of the 150 HP inline 6. Can someone tell me what year it might be? I don't have a model number, engine was in pieces. Thanks.

The 150hp inline engine was made from 1973 to 1977, they all had distributor and blue decals ( some variations ) .

Some pictures or a serial number would help ( are stamped into the block too, starboard side, close to the "head" ) .

Every year got some tell tails to help identifying...
The way the block are bolted together ( bolt or bolt AND nut )
Type and placement of the fuel pump.
Number on the carburetors.
