I bought the following drop on and installed it on my 150 mid-section.

Engine: '92 2.5 production EFI 175 block CHANGED to:
'91 200 intake with 7 petal intake Boyson reeds & carbs - premium fuel heads - rod slots cut, exhaust opened up & flowed - stock pistons, rods, steel sleeves. 220-230 hp @ 7000 rpm. 32:1 oil mixture. I'm running @ 6000 rpm with a 28 pitch cut chopper. Mid-section still has exhaust tube and 2 piece exhaust plates. 40 amp. stater with water cooled regulator exhaust manifold cover. WMH carbs on the front. Original block #OD232350

Want to know if I can put the 2.0 exhaust manifold cover onto the 2.5. Can I also swap the 40 amp stater and flywheel with the 16 amp stater and flywheel from the 2.0? Have WMH carb. on 2.5 and need to use WH carbs. My objective is to use the 2 piece clam shell from the 2.0.

Thanks

HVL,

I don't know about the exhaust cover but the only way u will put them 2.0 clamshell covers on is to put the 16 amp stator and flex plate flywheel or something equivalent in height such as L/W aluminum flywheel. hope this helps.

Everything else will work.. Exhaust plate won't fit...

I saw this on ebay the other day and it would make it so that you can use a clam shell cowling on a later style 2.5 to make a sleeper of a motor...

Thanks everyone for clarifying the other questions.

I have an '88 2.0 150 with WH 40-1 carbs with verticle reeds. Can I put the carbs on the 2.5 which has WMH carbs now with horizontal reeds. Other than re-jetting, will I have any problems doing this?
