I would like to install a kill switch on my rig. What would be the best way to do this?

When you turn the key off it grounds the ignition. So, all you have to do is install a normally open kill switch from the ignition lug on the ign switch to ground. When you pull the lanyard it closes the switch and grounds the ignition just like turning off the key. I am having a senior moment here and I can't remember the color code for that wire. Someone will probably jump in here and tell you.

i just put mine inline with the main power wire to the key switch, when you pull the kill switch, it kills everything. Just ran the power wire into the kill switch, and one from the other terminal on the kill switch back to the key switch.

Captcarb has the hot ticket. With a CDI, I don't think opening the hot wire to the switch will kill the engine Georgia Boy.

He had a 115 OMC. The early inlines had a battery ignition system as did the distributer OMC,s and Chryslers, The later inlines went to ADI ignition, the 150 Force was the last battery ignition motor.
A CDI, ADI ignition kills the motor using a ground, The battery ignition motors kill the motor by removing the hot from the switchbox.
