We have been a jet boat owner for a number of years. Fouling with weeds has always been a problem. We have developed a solution to the weed and rope fouling problem. Where as we can keep the grates and impeller clear without stopping the boat. A jet drive manufacturer and boat builder tells us fouling isn't a problem. We would like to know if we are the only ones who experience this problem. Appreciate any remarks.

hi there last summer at clear lake CA.I too sucked a buttload off weeds into my intake grate. I had to jump in and pull them off, then the boat barley ran me back to the marina . I took off the rest of the weeds on the trailer then had to remove the inspection plate of my berkley 12jg to get the rest. Pain in the butt.. Any info on products to stop this annoying problem would be outstanding.

Thanks for your response. Our boat is a larger boat which we use on coastal waters where weeds & debris are a problem. We are looking to see if there is also a problem on rivers & lakes with smaller boats, runabouts, jet ski's etc.. Our patented product can be adapted to the smaller jets, we just like to know if there is a problem & interest. Your response is greatly appreciated. BTW, how are the kelp beds out there, it must wreck havoc on jets.
can you post a picture so we can see how it works. will it impair the flow on the high speed jets, have you tested it on the berkeley type jets.

We are testing this on a Hamilton jet that does 35 knots. At best we can tell at this point, it does not impair water flow. How fast are you talking?
