I'm experimenting with a coating that has the same characteristics as described (alcohol removes it) but it's slick as hell. The aero industry is looking into this coating for the airliners and supposedly increase fuel efficiency due to less drag. I tried it on a prop and miraculously had 40% prop slip with a 5 minute application (wax on, wax off with a rag by hand). The manufacture suggests coating the entire boat, cowling, and even my helmet for less drag. I have it on a polished lower unit that's been 120+ numerous times and it still shines like the day it was applied (20 minute application with electric buffer). It's also being tested on Nascar vehicles and if nothing else, they shine better than anything on the track, not to mention nothing sticks to it after application.

I'm not sure if they've launched their website, but I'll post info when I get it (my lil bottles have no labels, lol).

I polished my windshield and it works better than Rain-X, and the more you stay on it with a buffer, the slicker it gets.

It's not a polish, it's a coating :D and right now it's expensive.... but so were microwaves when they first came out.

Joe all you need is a narrower, lighter engine. Less wind and tail drag. :D :D

Hey Ronnie, let me know what's up with the stuff you're trying.Joe, I'll send you some to test AFTER the Top End Shootout...

No, seriously, I'll try to get several bottles next time I'm there and send some to you, Carter, and a few more to try it. I'll see if we can experiment on Jon Wright's hydro at the Shootout (or before). As of last week he's still planning on makin it.

This stuff is slicker than any wax I've used and if it holds a cushion of air under the hull maybe we'll see ridiculous speeds. It's been on a few vehicles in Houston 5 or 6 months and you don't even need soap at the car wash to rid the dirt, just rinse and it's clean...
