Can anyone tell which video I saw on here that showed a top speed shootout from the 1980's and the winner was a stock Glastron hull with Chevy+NOS that went 125mph?

Not to fast. Happy with 50 mph. Interested to race an old I6 Merc hydro type. Don't tell my wife.

BillyB your doing it right now welcome to S&F your in the right place. Nice Glasstron. They were a head of there time for a long time. Most people just never hung the right power on them or like the 125mph one put the right power in them.:D Theres a guy near me with a 16 or 17ft like yours with a 200PM on his and it Screams!! Not sure how fast but well over 70! I had to do 85 to say by by! Im guessing mid 70,s Nice hulls. That 125mph moster is wicked. Shes running so flat and no wabble at all just stright and true. That special with the car motor looked like it could blow over she was so bow high!! Looked like tunnel with a center sponsoon?

Had heard about it but that's just out there
Puts another brand into my watch for new projects. Just saw a very clean 16' w/an old in line on it for cheap.
I want to find one and look at the construction real close.
I had two. The one in my avatar was a '69 19' that I re-did and then spent several yrs trying to destroy on Lake Erie.
Also had a CVX 20' but it was beat when I got it and didn't really care for the aft section of it. I like the older square transom boats better.
I'm thinking "sleeper" for my next project and I don't think you get much more "sleeper" than that :p

I'll get with you for sure. I might be the slow guy but I'll catch up when you stop for a float. Heads up for lots of hidden rocks close to the surface after the Lakeside Beach boat ramp. Thanks for the invite.

Thanks Whipper. Nice to see a boat like mine floating a big motor. I'll have to keep my eye out for a V6. Give the bassboats and jetskis a suprise. Have a safe and fast summer
