This is probably one of the best video ads that I have seen and it is for all of us who were raised with a dad (and granddad) who loved boating...
Thanks to all the dad's out there that gave us these memories. When I saw this video it made me think of how fast life passes us by. For all of us who have dad's (or granddad's) that are no longer here we can appreciate why we have such a love of water and boats. I am sure many of us if not all of us wouldn't have this passion had it not been for our DAD....I think if we look back in our memory this video will touch your heart as it did mine. Memories of weekends spent on a boat with dear dad fishing or just enjoying flying across the water. I think it would be kinda neat to hear some of your stories or see a pic with you and your dad or loved one so if you would like to share one please do would love to see a pic or hear a story.
Here's one of mine, growing up we always had a boat and spent our weekends at Cornetta's Boat Yard which is where we kept our boat. The only time in my life I can remember my dad getting angry at us was when we tied up the boat to fish under the Tappan Zee Bridge, well me, my sister and brother started chasing each other around the pillars and poles and we almost gave my dad a heart attack when one of us almost fell in. That was the only time I have ever heard him yell at us or get angry. When I look back I realize what a dangerous thing we did but it is now a memory. Life works in mysterious ways for the years in my childhood that we had a boat at Cornetta's...Phil and his dad had a boat docked there also even though they lived in New Jersey. We could have played together as kids and we know we ate at the same hot dog stand, we found that out on our 1st date. The giant barge we used to run though as kids to get to the boats was also in our memory.
I hope if you guys watch this short clip it will bring you back to your childhood days and help remember the person who inspired you to have this great love of the sport of boating and all that goes with it. I was really touched after watching this clip and it made me think of how fast time passes us by. Cheers to our dad's who instilled the love of boating in us. I also enjoyed looking at the Rabe family photos and really enjoyed reading the Rabe stories about Parker's dad and family so I thought this might be a good way to say,
"Thanks to the people in our life who gave us these memories".
Our life here is so short and no one knows what tomorrow will bring...just remember those happy times with the ones you love.
