If I was to rig a new 28 Skater with a pair of Mercury 2009 250XS motors instead of a pair of 2009 300XS motors, how much top end would I have to sacrifice? This decision would usually be a "no brainer" for me, but 91 octane fuel is becoming harder and harder to find on the small lakes I like to boat on. Any suggestions?
