Anyone have trouble keeping it up?

I mean on- The Bob's nose cone, that is. Epoxy and filler keep seperating. Any ideas on keeping this from happening.

then I had crazy fill one in. First I use the epoxy and get it all filled in behind the cone. Next Crazy has some Glass filler that looks like stranded glass but not in a sheet. If you mix it with resin and spread it on it will hold better. the epoxy has nothing to hold it together with the strands in there it has some stucture to it. Something to mesh and will not have a straight line to break and the resin i hard as hell. have had one on for a while now and no cracks or blisters.

i use marine tex it is expencive but easy to sand and it stays in there.....

I use a product called PC-7 a two part epoxy similar to JB Weld its harder than chineese algebra but sands really easy, sticks to anything

used it on the venom,while merc-zilla was being redone,works great,easy to work with lots of hours of 60-70 mph cruising,lots of short blasts of 100,never a chip or even chunks(like a friends kept doing using epoxy & marine tex)Well worth the money & can be bought at most hardware stores.

tried everything and everything came off till i used pc-7, i recomend that to everyone.

clean surface with S.S. wire brush then wipe with acetone and then apply pc-7, "Be some good chit maan!"

I'VE INSTALLED SEVERAL OF THESE NOSE CONE KITS AND NONE OF THEM HAVE EVER BLISTERED. WHAT I DO IS BACK FILL THE WATER CAVITY UNDER THE WATER PUMP BASE. WHAT IS HAPPENING IS THE WATER GETS BEHIND THE FILLER AND WEAKENS IT. FOR FILLER, ALL I EVER USED IS BONDO. I STILL TO THIS DAY HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. GOOD LUCK. MIKE.
