280 ss

I just got my stroker bass boat with a 280ss Merc. What is a good oil to use with this motor. My buddy uses Pennzoil synthetic oil and he swears by it any suggestions would be appreciated.

pennzoil is tough to beat. use a petroleum based oil for the break-in though. that is if the motor is brand new. after the break-in use the pennzoil synthetic at 40 to 1 and let us know it runs. good luck, erik
