Just wondering if we could have a role call on louisiana people here and see where the fun people are boating in the deep south.

sure appreciate the tips on good places to go.probably within 2 weeks my season of pleasure boating will begin.looking forward to exploring my new area. chalmette area was a great experience with everything from dolphins to shrimp boats and all kinds of stuff. the mr go was cool 2. also did a run up the pearl river from 190 to i 12 overpass was a cool spot 2.
closest water to me now is the diverson canal so i guess its first on my list.
jetboat runs good and heard froma previous owner claiming big power is in there . claimed 650 hp w 70-80 mph . i doubt it but i was thinking it seemed cammed and balanced with timing turned way back. not gonna turn it up any at all though until i get a working tach and see where im really at with my current speed of 50 and rpm seem like 5000 already so i kinda stay off it and cruise gentle.
I'm from chalmette also but now live in Ponchatoula. We mostly boat on the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville. We make trips to prop stop, slidell, west end. Actually this past weekend we were in the pearl river. My uncle has a house on the river right by the hwy 90 bridge. I couldnt wait to take the boat out this year. I loved boating in Chalmette. We had a camp on the horse shoe in violet. Everybody went to the sand bar in lake borgne for the fourth of july!

Shreveport on the Red River... Many lakes around here, but the Red is the best when the water level isn't rising... Back to the lakes after heavy rains...
