Right on another Charger! It seems like you are getting pretty decent numbers already. There are a few past and present Charger guys on here with way more knowledge than I to push your boat faster than it already is. Hopefully they will chime in.

What size / type of prop are you running? Not sure what your motor rpm range is but have you tried a different prop?

Post a link to your youtube video...

That's movin' pretty good for a 175. They like big eared choppers and for all out topend alot of engine height.

I don't imagine you run into too many other chargers down there lol.

Back when your boat was made, Chargers were very competitive in the Ontario V bottom racing. They gave up a bit of speed to the Vkings, but made it up in rough water.

There is a George Linder connection, but I don't know the details.

As far as I know George designed the hull and cut up a Challenger 21 deck to fit the boat...you can see the 21 in the 18 once someone points it out. They are exactly the same (as far as the deck goes). Charger was building Challengers (under licence) at the time.

Cool boat...and I like the filled in transom well.

Acutally, Charger boat company was building the SK, and after they were contracted to build the Challenger, the charger boys grafted on the Challenger deck to become the Charger DL.

24", 6200 rpm, only 5% slip...

Do you have solid mounts and dual steering? Does the Charger chine walk worse than a Hydrostream?

My brother has a Charger DL, and I have an Allison SS2000. Of the two, the Charger is much easier to drive.

I love that pic of Dok's with the BIG rooster tail. Bring on the summer!

Hydrostream - out of curiosity where are you running your Charger? How did you come across it? As the other guy's have mentioned the boat was built up in Canada and I doubt that there are many in south of the border.
