I was out the other night with my future brother in law and had drank way too much. we stumbled over to 7-11 on our way home and started buying lottery tickets. after a few I hit for $5000. Unbeleivable, and the best part is it was 10x 500$ so its tax free. any other lotto winners out there or casino winners????Horses????Sports???? Chris

Good for you. I used to work part-time at a 7-11 gas station when I was in school. We used to sell those scratch off lotto tickets and nobody ever won much of anything. Pretty much a scam. Guess you had some good luck though.:thumbsup:

the people at ny lotto are the ones that told me it was tax free. they said i didnt need to fill out a tax form and it was tax free. I agree with you i thought it was considered one ticket. the odds of winning the prize was 1in 58,800 not bad

That makes the actual value of those tickets a little less than 10 cents.

Glad you won, but the lottery is generally a tax on those that are poor at math.

one of our techs at work called in one evening saying he wouldnt be in the
next day. says he was going to pick up his lottery winnings. of course no
one believed him at first. they did once he didnt show up. I guess they
didnt believe him because he told them he won a million on a tear off. it
was true. good for him. he took a few months off, and now is back working.

#1 Everyone knew that the daily pick 4 # was going to be false for the so=-call benefit of a uns sursoecting co-worker on the daily mainrtance shop chalk board! LOLS there had him dnceing and sceamming for .5 hr.

#2 I was in the break room one morining when a co-worker came in and look at the pre days lottery 3s and started screanng at the top of is lungs, along with jumping like a nut. Next thing I said was you hit the pick six? He said no., the pick four butit pays $400. I'm sure the lottery made thousands on him!
