I'm a Merc guy but I'm also a fan of the GT/XP series. I always thought they were really cool motors. Regardless, that is an awsome package.

More North. Its the Ottawa river. It flows into the St-Lawrence on the western and eastern tip of the Island of Montreal.

i pulled my valero with a merc 6 hrs to one of the boating rallys with my mercury Sable... towes fine... the boat on the trailer is only like 1700 lbs so even some of the small cars can tow them :)

4" setback, a nose cone and even with the pad yeilded 85 MPH with a 175 merc.... high 70's with your setup should be an every day occurance once you let her eat :)

Oka beach is great but calm water almost never happens on the weekend!

Too many damn daycruisers on the Ottawa to have any nice water on the week-ends.

Yup. Evenings after work are always best.

Couple more pics of my best friend's Crosby, same place. It was his late father's boat. Merc 1000. The core and transome were redone by Spaeth.

Indeed. It seems we are quite a few in this area. One night after work on a Monday or something like that.

PM me and I'll send ya my number.

I think I still have MarkHP's and Huck This.

I see you had a 21 Cougar MTR.

I had the pleasure of going for a ride in one years ago. I can still see the core and stringers. The quality of finish would not have looked out of place in any dinning room. I know that sounds exagerated but when I got in the boat my eyes were emediatly drawn to the floor. I don't know how fast me were going but in the rough chop she did start to kite. Beatifull boat, awesome ride.

Here's a pic.......

I should add. This was at Chandos Lake. This was a Hydrostream gathering. I haven't met many of you from the south but as then, and still is now, hot boat rockie, I have to say thanks first to Mark C.

Weekday evening rides are the best. The sun is setting and the winds are calmer.

I remember heading out once, the lake was calm on the Vaudreuil side and the chop was insane on the other side of the bridge. So many cruisers zipping along. Mind you, it was St-Jean Baptiste.
